thats a perfect example and honestly the reason why don't like to do vector much. Its essentially placing a bunch of custom brushes that someone else made all over a picture.

But for the vector fans im sure this is sweet :) good job

    great tuts shashwat..
and yeah, vector is pretty much someones custom brushes all over the canvas, but there are always ways to challenge yourself, such as using the paths tool and creating your own brushes.. ;)

Actually you're completely wrong. Vectors are scalable SVG shapes you make in a program such as Illustrator or Inkscape. If you want to call it a true vector, then you make the shapes on your own, and not use brushes cause it's cheating. Every once in a while a few brushes look ok, but not a lot of em like in this tutorial.

Like in my blue vector, I used one or two brushes in the whole thing, only twice. Every other shape was created by me.
Read up more on it here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics

Vectors are mainly images made up with polygons, as opposed to bitmaps and the rest.

ok well thats fair, i guess a REAL vector is not a bunch of brushes on a canvas but then MOST everyone doesn't do a real vector when they say they do. almost everyone just downloads a bunch of neat brushes and then clicks a few times and voile they are done. But i see your point thanks for pointing that out :)

The reflections kinda stink.... 'coz it isn't glossy enough. :| As for the artwork itself, it is just some brushing on a colour background with a silhouette in one and a render in the other. :p
