Thanks for the new forum. Looks pretty slick.
And Thanks Gimper
I just want to add my thanks for the shelter the wilber-loves-apple members found here at GIMPer.net
u can call this spam if u like but i dont like apple or windows,
i like ubuntu
by the way nice addition for all those who use apple 8O
Warning, don't make the almighty moderator of this section go angry ;D
Believe it or not I use Ubuntu too... I just hate OS flamewars
That's cool. I'm looking to find a used laptop for Ubuntu. I've used GIMP for both Mac and Linux. Like both. Linux is where I first tried GIMP. It's come a long way from 1.4.
The OS doesn't matter as long as GIMP works well. When I upgraded I lost access to Photoshop so GIMP was where I went. Sure glad they added the ability to fade filters. I don't really miss Photoshop, GIMP does what I need.
Go use a real debian or even slackware. not this ubuntu beginner crap
i dont care about debian cuz u can do everything it can do in ubuntu but it just makes it easier to do/figure out
and its most used linux distro, aside from kubuntu i think so theres tons of support
If the OS runs GIMP well, that is all that matters in the context of this forum. Whether you like Slackware, Debian, or Vax is irrelevant.
