Hey new here so sorry if this is in the wrong spot or anything, but...

I have seen before a windows plugin called pspi.exe that allows windows Gimp to run photoshop .8bf filters. I was wondering if something like this has been developed for Mac versions of Gimp, or if one could possibly be created someday?

Once again sorry if this is in the wrong forums or anything, Im new here and being a n00b I don't know much about how this forums works....

I would also be very grateful for an answer to this question, there must be a way it can be done. Does anyone know a workaround?

...since pspi is open source (afaik), somebody has to port it to OS X. Are you yolunteering? ;)

If I knew how I would, but sadly I do not know how to, or what "port it to OS X" means...

If you could explain what the last part means, then I may try, if I can figure it out :)

    (Sorry for the Double Post)

Just curious, but would it be possible to use the pspi.exe file using WINE? I've been looking at it and it seems like it is made to run .exe files. Not sure if it would work or not, but its something I'm looking into.

I've been trying to see if it would work, but for some reason I can't figure out how to run the program. If anyone else could give it a shot, be my guest :)

    nope... that won't run.

As said before. You need to port it to OS X and to the way GIMP on OS X has been build.

    skl
