    Hi Auria,

I have Gimp from MacPorts, but for some reason, it won't read my personal plugins in my home .gimp-2.6/plug-ins folder. I used to work around this by compiling Gimp, which would then see the plugins.

So, I made configure successfully, but when trying to build, I get the following error:

    /bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.. -I.. -D_REENTRANT -I/opt/local/include/glib-2.0 -I/opt/local/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/opt/local/include -I/usr/local/include -DPREFIX=\""/usr/local"\" -DGIMPDIR=\"".gimp-2.6"\" -DDATADIR=\""/usr/local/share/gimp/2.0"\" -DLOCALEDIR=\""/usr/local/share/locale"\" -DPLUGINDIR=\""/usr/local/lib/gimp/2.0"\" -DSYSCONFDIR=\""/usr/local/etc/gimp/2.0"\" -DGIMP_PACKAGE=\""gimp"\" -DGIMP_DATA_VERSION=\"2.0\" -DGIMP_SYSCONF_VERSION=\"2.0\" -DGIMP_PLUGIN_VERSION=\"2.0\" -DG_LOG_DOMAIN=\"LibGimpBase\" -I/opt/local/include/ -DGIMP_DISABLE_DEPRECATED -DGDK_MULTIHEAD_SAFE -DGTK_MULTIHEAD_SAFE -g -O2 -Wall -Wdeclaration-after-statement -Wmissing-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Winit-self -Wpointer-arith -Wold-style-definition -MT gimpcpuaccel.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/gimpcpuaccel.Tpo -c -o gimpcpuaccel.lo gimpcpuaccel.c

Try adding --disable-mmx to the compile options.

    gimp-2.6.9 h$ make --disable-mmx
    make: unrecognized option `--disable-mmx'

I'm on a MacBook with Mac OS X Leopard, using MacPorts.

hmmm... honestly I'm not sure how to compile on the mac since I don't have one. After searching around I found that using that option resolved a lot of the problems. I'm not sure where you put that option in the compiling process on the mac. >.> That's about as much use as I can be of you.

Usually on my linux system I have to configure the package before running make.

    ./configure --disable-mmx
    make

is where it would go if I were to compile it. Perhaps mac has a similar functionality when compiling?
