In the window menu for both x11 and gimp, the "Layers, Channels, Paths, Undo - Brushes, Patterns, Gradients" window is listed, but the actual window does not display, even when I select it in the window menu. I have reset window positions to default in preferences, but no luck. I know I can create a new tab for each function then detach tab to create a new window with the same functionality, but if x11 shows that there already is an active "Layers, Channels, Paths, Undo - Brushes, Patterns, Gradients" window, I would like to access it. I am using gimp 2.6.7, x11 2.3.1, and osx 10.5.5, Any advice?

    Thanks,
    Soma

I solved it. The window was displaying off screen to the right. I set the screen resolution to 800x600, then back to normal, and the window appeared.

    I had the same issue.
I had to re-boot the system again to get the display.
The whole display disappeared and their wasn't any way to switch settings to 800x600.

He tried to use fat burning furnace and I think it worked for him.
