i finally took the time to read it through, sorry i didnt earlier :)

"3. It's not native to Mac, but it runs easily, smoothly, and fast using X11 and is extremely easy to install, and it runs natively on Windows. You can also easily run it on Linux, Ubuntu, and pretty much, if not every other OS out there."

it is native to unix systems. ubuntu IS linux ;) just one flavour of many. it runs on linux, windows, mac, freebsd, and solaris.

"It's native to Macs and PC's, which is great for Mac users like myself."

i see "native" again. i dont think its so much "native" as it is "runs on". native means where it comes from originally, i would expect that its native to windows, but was made compatible with macs as well.

"If you're looking for tutorials theres really nowhere else to go than GimpTalk. Check it out for yourself!"

you can go to gimper.net ;) we do have a whole bunch of good ones buried in here. links add: http://gimpology.com http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/gimp/

"Where gimp has an unfair reputation for being bad, paint.net has an unfair reputation for being great."

i never knew o_O well i really think paint.net is more for painting than manipulating.
