i think your bg is too dark, or you need to invert the "shadow" colours
Yeah, the text gets lost in the background. It looks like it turned out nice though, just try filling the letters or inverting the shadow's colors.
maybe add a colour to the glass, tint effect?!
hmmm....no clue how to invert that. trying to figure it out but no idea.

Yeah, the more I play with the opacity of the shadow the more I like it the way i have it above. Personal preference I guess.
Now that I learned how to make a glass effect text I forget what I wanted to use it on. :question: lol I suppose that's just a part of being one of the oldest members on here, if not the very oldest.

There was an old-time member named tripwire who was in his 40's, I think.
He used Gimp professionally for his job.
Trip still comes around from time to time, but I haven't seen him in several months.
