Okay, so the other day I was in a carbon fiber mood, so I made several patterns and decided to make a wallpaper. This, is what I got.

I also had to change the actual font because the '8' is so ugly. Here's a before and after:

If you like this wallpaper feel free to use it. :)

Very well done, looks professional. The texture fits perfectly, and the glow is nice. Good work, D man! 8)

My only complaint is the texture fades to black too soon.

And the black fades to sharp under it!

Yeah it's turning green because of the blend modes I choose, instead of screen or add I used dodge because it often looks more realistic. If I have the pattern fade out more smoothly then some of the bottom glow would start to turn., But I'll work on it and post up a pic of the different patterns as well.

I like the green. It makes the glow pop out more.

I think you mean the #8. :p Thanks Wolf, there are tutorials for creating Carbon Fiber patterns in PS (Which, by the way, Gimp and PS both use the .pat format). But I didn't follow any tutorials, I simply experimented. :)

@Maffe, I'll upload the project file to ProjectFX. ;D

Yeah I made it, all by my self, I'm a big boy! :D I was bored and thought, 'why not make a metal mp3 player to match?'. So I made most of it in a few hours and spent last night finishing the cord and working on the player's bevel. :) This one's going on ProjectFX too. ;D
