    Awesome job!

Now I just need to brush up on my coding skills, or rather lack thereof.

Hey I'm new here. Anyway, bit of confusion with this guide. The brushes you have posted along with it seem to be way too big for the image. I can't seem to get them to place well because of it. What should I do?

if you left your gimp panels alone, it would be in the main gimp window... just select the brush tool and then under the tool options under that there should be a scroll bar labeled "Scaling"... move that around till you get a desired size!

I'm onto the part now for making the lines that divide the content but I can't seem to get them placed right. Whenever i move a duplicate, it drags half the other layers around with it. Is there anyway someone could give me approximate positions for all 3 lines, please?

i could tell you the position of them but you should be able to move it, a few tips on how to move layers..

1st make sure you create the in this case the "line" on separate layer
2nd make sure you don't have them locked with another layer
3rd when you want to move something in gimp first click on its layer from the dialog. then grab the move tool and click directly on the line. if you miss notice the layer will switch to what ever you had selected before it , you might wan't to zoom in to see it better.

try it let me know how it goes

Well now I did like you said, zoomed in 800% so I could see the line but when I clicked it and tried to move it nothing happened

    here are the positions

    top: 110x153
    middle:110x389
    bottom 110x622

i still advise you to see what your doing wrong because moving layers by dragging is important.

Yeah I'm positive and it was selected too. I had problems dragging layers when trying to do another tutorial so I ended up giving up but I've gotten most of this no problem so I've stuck it out. Don't know why it's being that way so thanks for the positions.

Edit: I managed to figure it out. Sometimes it wasn't fully selecting the layers. I had to click on other ones and then click back on the one I wanted to move and it worked. I've finished the tutorial. Thanks for posting it :)

This is a silly question but but I have no idea how to save the the theme in order to get it onto the site. I see the images in the file that I downloaded but I want to know how to save them myself. Can you tell me please?

    Thanks

    Maria
